Reza Sheikhi

Dr. Reza Sheikhi joined the Mechanical Engineering Department in 2018. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.S. from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. Dr. Sheikhi has several years of industry experience and previously served as a faculty member at Northeastern University. His general areas of expertise are computational fluid dynamics, turbulence, combustion and high performance computing. His current research interest includes modeling and simulation of multiphysics turbulent flows. Dr. Sheikhi has received several recognitions for his teaching, including the Students Speak Outstanding Teachers of the College of Engineering at Northeastern University. He is a Fellow of ASME, an Associate Fellow of AIAA and members of APS, ASEE and the Combustion Institute. He is currently serving an Associate Editor of the ASME Open Journal of Engineering and a member of AIAA Terrestrial Energy Systems Technical Committee.
