Jorge Paricio

Ph.D. program graduated from and/or previous work experience: Dr. Jorge Paricio is an Associate Professor-in-Residence in Industrial Design. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, followed by a Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a PhD from the Complutense University, with a dissertation on Freehand Drawing in Industrial Design.
He taught Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) for 13 years and previously at Ohio University, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, The Art Institute of Colorado, Pratt Institute and at Parsons School of Design. He has practiced product design and exhibit design in New York City, Denver and Madrid, Spain, and has helped write patents and developed concepts for Colgate Palmolive among other companies. He has written two books, Perspective Sketching and Hybrid Drawing Techniques for Interior Design.
Area of teaching specialty or research: Concept drawing for product design, digital rendering, design thinking, product development.
